TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SYSTEM

 

This is a preliminary Call for papers for the 2008 International World Energy System (WESC) Conference, to be held on June 30 July 2, 2008 in Iasi, Romania, hosted by the Technical University Gh. Asachi.

 "Gh Asachi" University is a reputable institution situated in a beautiful region rich in unique historical landmarks. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering from the Technical University is well known for its innovative and collaborative approach with other international institutions.  

Papers from the power industry and academies are strongly encouraged.  

Previous WES conferences were held in Torino, Italy (2006), Oradea, Romania (2004) Tokyo, Japan (2002), Irkutsk, Russia (2000) and Toronto, Canada (1996 and 1998). Past conferences attracted professionals from the industry and academia from many countries across several continents. 

The aim of the 2008 International World Energy System Conference is to support a sustainable energy system through competitive, reliable and sustainable energy solutions. 

The conference will be held on the beautiful campus of the University of Iasi situated in the historic city of Iasi, surrounded by rolling hills and the most famous monasteries of Romania.

The participants can reach Iasi by air, railroad and modernized roads.
